Job Description

The Medical-Surgical ICU involves the care of critically ill patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced ICU environment and will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for critically ill patients, including the administration of medications and treatments.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans and health management.
• Respond to medical emergencies and perform resuscitation as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an ICU or similar setting.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS*, PALS*.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Preferred experience with LTAC and Trauma Level I or II.
