Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in surgical trauma to provide high-quality care for stable trauma patients. The role requires administering pre-op and post-op care and managing a diverse surgical patient population.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to surgical patients.
• Manage and administer blood products and peripheral line care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams.
• Monitor patient conditions and manage pain effectively.
• Utilize the EPIC charting system for accurate documentation.
• Participate in weekend rotations and float between campuses as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Registered Nurse License in North Carolina.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Pass Fail EKG exam required during compliance.
• Experience with a Level I Trauma Center preferred.
• EPIC charting experience required.
