Staff RN - Emergency Department and Med-Surg

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shifts will be rotating days and nights, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. The nurse will work 12-hour shifts and will cover every third weekend, with holiday coverage based on rotation.

Job Description

The Staff RN will provide care in both the emergency department and med-surg department. This role is vital in delivering high-quality healthcare services and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the emergency and medical-surgical departments.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and their families on care plans and health maintenance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Prior experience in emergency and/or med-surg nursing preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
