Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM. Call required nights and weekends.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for managing the perioperative care of patients undergoing surgical procedures. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of collaborating with surgical teams in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and be comfortable with various surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and nursing staff to provide comprehensive care.
• Participate in all phases of the surgical process including preoperative assessment, intraoperative care, and postoperative management.
• Manage and administer medications and anesthesia as needed.
• Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current nursing license in the state of West Virginia.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Previous operating room experience highly preferred.
• Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; exemptions considered based on compliance with form submission.
