Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse with experience in high-risk pregnancies within a large hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong assessment, clinical, documentation, professionalism, and patient satisfaction skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments from pediatric to geriatric stages.
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care while demonstrating knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient charts, tracking progress and patient education outcomes.
• Promote a professional practice environment by adhering to policies and identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensure patient safety by following National Patient Safety Goals and utilizing safe transfer techniques.
• Provide individualized patient care for surgical procedures, including education and assessment.
• Contribute to the perioperative team by prioritizing patient needs and adapting care as conditions change.
• Support the completion of Pre Admission Testing and evaluate orders for appropriateness based on patient health status.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years travel experience in a large hospital setting, specifically with high-risk pregnancies.
• Active RN License.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
