NICU RN Level II - Night Shift (3x12-Hour)

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for a NICU RN Level II. The role requires clinical expertise in neonatal critical care, with a focus on managing various conditions prevalent in the NICU.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for neonates, including those with conditions such as hypoglycemia, hyperbilirubinemia, and prematurity.
• Administer medications, including antibiotics and antivirals, while monitoring vital signs and responding to emergencies.
• Manage feeding and nutritional strategies for infants, including bottle, breast, and gavage feeding.
• Conduct assessments, document patient progress, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and support families through education and teaching.
• Utilize Epic charting system effectively for patient documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
• Current certifications in BLS, NRP, NRP Advanced, and STABLE.
• Experience with patient ratios of 3:1 and familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Ability to work night shifts and weekends as required.

Schedule

The shift is a 3x12-hour schedule, working nights from 19:00 to 07:30.
