Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our NVICU team. The nurse will provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their family members in a high-acuity environment. The unit has 16 beds with patient ratios of 2:1, sometimes requiring 1:1 or 3:1 care based on acuity and staffing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality patient care and safety in critical care settings.
• Perform advanced nursing skills including central line insertions, arterial line insertions, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to balance the schedule and staffing needs.
• Participate in self-scheduling with a minimum requirement of 4 weekend shifts per schedule.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• Previous ICU experience is required.
