Schedule
7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Every other weekend required. Holidays as needed. No on call.
Job Description
Our Emergency Department RNs must be ready to care for patients when they need us most. In addition to providing specialized and innovative services, we need our ED RNs to be equipped to handle an array of emergency situations for pediatric patients. Our Emergency Department (ED) nurses are trained in dealing with a variety of trauma situations requiring quick and decisive actions. Ideal prospective ED RNs must be able to quickly and accurately assess incoming patients with both physical and mental health conditions and be able to prioritize their injuries and medical needs accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced, high patient acuity Pediatric Emergency Department.
- Assess incoming patients and prioritize care based on injuries and medical needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for pediatric patients.
- Effectively communicate with patients and families regarding care plans and emergency situations.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Pediatric Emergency Department experience required.
- Must have ED experience within the past six months.
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license required.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities needed to formulate effective nursing care plans.
