Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift - 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend, and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN will provide high-quality patient care for a diverse patient population including observation patients, those with respiratory conditions, general medical-surgical diagnoses, palliative, end-of-life, hospice patients, psychiatric observation, and surgical patients. The role requires proficiency in EKG interpretation and telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on patient telemetry data.
• Administer medications and IV therapies as prescribed.
• Assist in the management of patients with complex medical histories.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Must have EKG interpretive skills and be able to pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
