Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed and supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees. Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized care plans based on assessments and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely updates on patient status for team conferences.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct nursing care.
• Initiate discharge planning upon admission and educate patients/families accordingly.
• Communicate changes in patient status to relevant care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating tasks as appropriate.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety within healthcare policies.
• Contribute positively to unit dynamics and participate in team-building activities.
• Maintain communication with management regarding service needs.
• Assume charge responsibility as requested and pursue professional growth and education.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Certification required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• A minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.
