Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift 3x12.0

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, while promoting a patient and employee safety culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, forming individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals, collaborating with patients and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information during team conferences and ensure accurate documentation in accordance with policy.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and focus on patient education.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching as early as the day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and support patient safety.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Maintain personal and environmental safety in accordance with guidelines.
• Contribute positively to unit functioning and engage in team-building activities.
• Maintain communication regarding supply and equipment needs with management and nursing staff.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested and pursue professional growth through education.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification Required prior to first shift.
• ACLS Required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired.

Schedule

This position is for a day shift with a 3x12.0 schedule.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
