3 x 12 hour shifts; primarily days with some late nights, holidays, and on call as per unit needs. No weekend shifts required.

Job Description

An Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (EP RN) plays a crucial role in performing diagnostic electrophysiology procedures and interventions in a clinical setting. As an EP RN, you will prepare patients for procedures, ensure that all equipment is operational, and assist in the lab analysis and interpretation of data. You will work closely with physicians during procedures such as pacing implementation and the installation of devices related to heart health.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for electrophysiology procedures.
• Ensure all equipment and instrumentation are in working order.
• Monitor readings during procedures and assist with data analysis.
• Work with the Charge Nurse and vendors to ensure timely surgical procedures.
• Assist at the sterile field with patient prep and equipment setup during studies and ablations.
• Maintain fluids for the ablation catheter and provide assistance during procedures.
• Document procedures in the Epic system.
• Remain patient-focused and assist Anesthesia as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active NY RN License.
• 2 years of experience in a relevant clinical setting.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in moderate sedation is required.
