Job Description

The Level II Registered Nurse is responsible for providing competent patient care based on established standards. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, this role assumes expanded responsibilities including charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member duties. The nurse will utilize clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent and compassionate patient care
• Monitor high acuity stroke and neurosurgery patients
• Administer and monitor telemetry and specialty care
• Serve in a charge nurse capacity when required
• Participate in nursing committees and professional development activities

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of nursing experience
• Current NY RN License
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• Telemetry experience required
• Stepdown/PCU experience preferred
• ACLS Certification preferred
• Experience with neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, and arterial lines
