Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse to provide compassionate care in an acute care setting. The unit consists of 30 beds with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6/7, with the willingness to manage up to 1:7 patients comfortably. The Nurse will work alongside a Charge Nurse, and there are Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available to assist. The ideal candidate will have the ability to titrate heparin drips based on APTT results.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with common diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, cellulitis, acute kidney injury, and more.
• Monitor patient health and vitals, and respond to changes in status.
• Utilize Epic as the primary charting system.
• Participate in a rotating floating requirement as needed based on census, prioritizing external travelers to float.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Must disclose any licensing hits at the time of submission.
