3x12 Days, 07:00 - 19:00; Every other weekend and holiday availability required.

Job Description

As an LPN in the Medical Surgical unit, you will be responsible for providing patient care under the supervision of an RN. Your role will include conducting assessments, managing medication administration, and ensuring the overall well-being of patients. The environment includes medical patients with conditions such as COPD exacerbations, infections, and other social issues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and perform pain assessments.
• Administer medications via various routes including oral, IM, SQ, and NG/G-tube.
• Management of IV therapy with pumps and blood glucose monitoring.
• Provide wound care and assist with bathing and mouth care.
• Communicate any changes in patient status to RN/MD.
• Compliance with isolation precautions and safety protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State LPN license required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of one year of acute care experience within the last two years.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
