Schedule

5x8 hour Days, on call/callback/holiday as per unit needs. On call requires 5-7 call shifts per 7-week time block, including 2-4 weekend call days.

Job Description

The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality radiologic images and supporting the radiologist during procedures. The role includes preparing patients, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, and maintaining equipment proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist the Radiologist during interventional procedures.
• Demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning for diagnostic imaging.
• Complete procedures in a timely manner, assist with room turnover, and collaborate with team members.
• Maintain medication security and demonstrate competency across all age groups.
• Participate in performance improvement activities when warranted.
• Answer technical inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Two years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• NYS License (or able to obtain prior to start).
• VIR Certified preferred.
