Shifts are Monday through Friday, ranging from 6 AM to 4 PM, with no call required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Outpatient Surgery Registered Nurse to provide patient care in a preoperative setting. This position focuses solely on preoperative preparation, ensuring patients are ready for surgery. The role requires strong IV therapy skills and the ability to read cardiac rhythms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery in the outpatient surgical setting.
• Assist in managing patient flow with support from float nurses and aides.
• Monitor and evaluate patients’ vitals and readiness for surgical procedures.
• Administer preoperative care and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Conduct assessments and document patient information accurately in the EPIC system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Experience with IV therapy and reading cardiac rhythms.
• Experience in an outpatient surgical setting is highly preferred.
