IMCU/PCU RN - Night Shift

6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Job Description

The position involves working in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with responsibilities related to patient care in a fast-paced environment. The unit specializes in various diagnoses, including neurological, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients with complex medical needs.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Manage and maintain specialty equipment such as temp pacers, chest tubes, and Bipap.
• Float to other units as required based on patient needs and unit demands.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Critical Care Course/ECCO certifications required.
• Active RN license in New York with verification from NURSYS.
• 2 recent Nursing References from previous IMCU Charge or Manager roles.
• Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC.
