Job Description

The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (M/S RN) plays a critical role in the care and management of patients, specializing in oncology and step-down care. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, including those with complex conditions such as heavy sickle cell disease.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patient status and progress.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage side effects.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing, with a focus on oncology preferred.
• Current nursing license verified through Nursys.
• Chemo certification preferred.
• Complete profile including a resume with no gaps greater than 60 days, skills checklist, references, and certification card.
