Job Description

The X-Ray Technician will provide radiologic services in the Operating Room (OR), Emergency Department (ED), inpatient units, and perform portable X-ray examinations as needed. The role requires flexibility to work in both general X-ray and the OR, with a commitment to learning pediatric and neonatal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment efficiently.
• Evaluate images for technical quality to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
• Float to various departments as necessary based on the hospital’s needs.
• Work collaboratively with students, conducting competency check-offs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility or 2-3 years in a large bed Level 2 trauma facility.
• Experience in the OR and general X-Ray is mandatory.
• Current BLS and ARRT certification required.
• Graduated from a JRCERT/ARRT approved program.
• Comfortable working with pediatric and neonatal patients.
