Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Night Shift)

Night shift: 19:00 - 07:00 (3x12-hour shifts)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide patient care on the Medical Surgical unit. The position requires the ability to handle a patient load effectively and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the medical surgical unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
• Document all patient care activities accurately in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
• Current RN licensure in West Virginia or Compact License accepted.
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
• AHA-approved ACLS certification preferred.
• Flu vaccination required during the designated flu season.
• Cerner charting system experience preferred.
