3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, weekdays, with some weekends required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Stepdown / Immediate Care Unit Registered Nurse to join our team. This role requires strong clinical skills and experience in a challenging environment, where patient acuity and the need for quality care may fluctuate. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients in a 1:4 patient-to-nurse ratio, flexing to 1:5 in emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown and immediate care patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, interpreting telemetry and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on care protocols and health management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 - 2 years of Registered Nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in Med/Surg/Telemetry and 2 years in Stepdown.
• Must have BCLS and ACLS certifications via the American Heart Association.
• Ability to interpret telemetry and manage various cardiac procedures.
• WV or Compact RN License required; pending licenses acceptable.
