Schedule / Shift

Monday to Friday, day shifts from 6 AM to 2 PM, 7 AM to 3 PM, and 8 AM to 4 PM. No call obligations.

Job Description

The Outpatient Surgery Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing pre-operative care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures in an outpatient setting. The position involves monitoring patients, administering medications, and ensuring patient safety and comfort prior to surgery.

Responsibilities

• Pre-op assessment of patients prior to surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as necessary.
• Monitor patient vitals and report any abnormalities.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Assist in the management of patient flow and coordinate with float nurses and aides.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required.
• Experience with IV therapy and monitoring cardiac rhythms.
• Previous experience in an outpatient surgery setting preferred.
