Electrophysiology Nurse - 7 am to 7 pm Shift

Job Description

The Electrophysiology Nurse provides patient care before and during Electrophysiology (EPS) procedures and is responsible for patient education pertinent to EP procedures. This role includes cross-training to EMTI Admit/Recovery areas and technical positions in the device and ablation laboratory. The nurse administers moderate sedation under the direction of the EP Physician, participates in materials management, and aids in research efforts. Additionally, the nurse assists with the orientation of new staff members.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care during EPS procedures.
• Educate patients on EPS procedures.
• Administer moderate sedation as directed by EP Physician.
• Participate in materials management and research activities.
• Assist with orientation of new staff members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 to 3 years of Critical Care nursing experience or 3 to 5 years of Cardiac experience.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate's degree, or Baccalaureate degree).
• Current NJ State RN license, BLS and ACLS Certifications.
• Preferred certifications: CCRN, RCES, or RCIS.
