Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM EST, no holiday or on-call duties.

Job Description

Responsible for coordinating and performing radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare room, equipment, contrast, and materials as needed for patients.
• Clean and disinfect radiographic room and equipment.
• Prepare patients for radiographic procedures by explaining the procedures and assisting them throughout the exam.
• Follow prescribed techniques in administering specific x-rays to obtain diagnostic images.
• Utilize HIS/PACs/RIS software programs competently and print exams on film as needed.
• Participate in department QA program.
• Observe patient and equipment during procedures, reporting unusual occurrences and recording patient condition as needed.
• Maintain stock supplies and perform general office duties.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of an accredited radiology technology program.
• Licensed by the New York State Department of Health.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Two years of experience in the field.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including off-shift duties as needed.
• C-Arm procedure experience preferred.
