This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10 shifts from 5:30am to 4:00pm or 6:00am to 4:30pm, Saturday to Tuesday. Call requirements may apply.

Job Description

The Neurodiagnostic Technician plays a crucial role in assisting with complex Neurodiagnostic procedures to diagnose, treat, and prevent neurological diseases. This position involves participating in the implementation of standards of care to improve patient outcomes and deliver effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist and perform Neurodiagnostic examinations under supervision.
• Execute tests involving the brain, auditory system, visual system, somatosensory system, and other structures.
• Maintain integrity of equipment and ensure proper patient safety during procedures.
• Evaluate new instrumentation relevant to Neurodiagnostic technology.
• Train and gain proficiency in new Neurodiagnostic studies as they are introduced.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess R.EEG.T certification from the American Board of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Tech (ABRET).
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience in the relevant department; three years of recent Hospital/Neurology experience preferred.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
