Medical Surgical Nurse - Night Shift

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 12-hour nights.

Job Description

The Medical Surgical Nurse will provide nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. The nurse will be responsible for formulating and revising individualized care plans based on patient assessments and responses to treatment. Additionally, the nurse will coordinate and supervise care, document patient activities, and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes assessment data to identify patient care needs.
• Delegates tasks to healthcare team members appropriately.
• Documents all patient care activities accurately and legibly.
• Recognizes and reports abnormal assessment data to revise care plans.
• Coordinates patient care as necessary, ensuring effectiveness of the plan.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3+ years of current Medical Surgical experience required.
• Minimum of 6 months of previous travel nursing experience.
• Tele/Progressive Care experience preferred.
• EPIC EMR experience required.
• New Hampshire RN License or Compact.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Traveler must have their own vehicle.
