Job Description

The Mammography Technologist performs high-quality breast imaging (mammograms) using specialized equipment, emphasizing patient care, positioning, radiation safety, and producing images for radiologist interpretation. This position also involves handling equipment maintenance, quality assurance (QA/QC), and record-keeping to comply with regulatory standards such as MQSA. The technologist guides patients through screening and diagnostic procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding, and may also assist with additional breast imaging tasks such as ultrasound or biopsies.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality mammograms using specialized equipment.
• Ensure patient comfort and understanding during procedures.
• Handle equipment maintenance and quality assurance (QA/QC).
• Maintain accurate records to meet regulatory standards.
• Assist with other breast imaging procedures as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of Mammography experience (required).
• ARRT (M) Certification (required).
• Bone density experience (required).
