Med Surg Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 4x12-hour shifts (18:30 - 07:00). Option of 36 or 48 hours weekly.

Job Description

We are seeking a Med Surg Registered Nurse for the Night shift. The unit caters to stroke patients and surgery patients, with telemetry central monitoring available 24/7. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to 6 patients per shift and will be expected to float as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care for stroke and surgical patients.
• Monitor patients with telemetry; telemetry interpretation is not required.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Provide pre/post-operative care and manage various medical procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg experience.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
