This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

The position involves a schedule of 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 6:15 AM to 6:00 PM, with varied shifts. Travelers have the option to work full 40 hours or flex 4 hours. If patient census is low, the schedule may change to a 4x10 arrangement.

Job Description

The Radiation Therapist administers the prescribed therapeutic radiation dose to patients and is responsible for localization procedures in preparing patients for treatment. This role includes providing support, education, and teaching to cancer patients and their families while assisting in the onboarding of new team members and educating students.

Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic radiation doses to patients.
• Perform localization procedures for radiation treatments.
• Provide patient education and support for cancer patients and their families.
• Assist in onboarding new team members and educating students.
• Demonstrate proficiency in essential skills related to patient care.
• Maintain operating proficiency with linear accelerators, simulators, and electronic health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of recent experience with TruBeam technology.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
• Required certifications: American Heart Association BLS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Radiation Control Program license.
