Job Description

Join a high-impact, fast-paced nursing unit specializing in Trauma and General Surgery inpatient care. This unit is recognized as a Comprehensive Bariatric Surgery Center, providing critical care for a variety of complex conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for multi-trauma patients, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and complex surgical needs.
• Manage complex wound care, drains, devices, and respiratory support.
• Collaborate with care management, surgical and medical services, rehabilitation services, and perioperative services.
• Effectively handle a patient ratio of 1:6 for floor patients and 1:3 for step-down patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS Certification is required.
• Experience with complex medical and surgical conditions, chest tubes, and respiratory support.
• Ability to titrate specific drips as needed (Heparin, PCA on floor; Insulin and Cardizem in stepdown).
