Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) - 13 Week Contract

Schedule

Day shift with 4x12-hour or 3x12-hour options, including weekdays and weekends (3 shifts per 4-week schedule).

Job Description

Join a dedicated 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry, providing exceptional care to patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. Collaborate with a team of experienced nurses in a dynamic and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor patient outcomes and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a medical/surgical setting.
• Current RN license in WV or Compact license.
• Certifications: BCLS, NIHSS, ACLS (must be via American Heart Association).
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
• Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5-7.
