6:30 PM - 6:30 AM (12-hour shift, 3 nights a week: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday)
Job Description
The Night Shift CT Technologist performs Computerized Tomographic procedures according to hospital standards, applicable regulations, and time efficiency. The role demands comprehensive knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT-specific computer applications while adhering to Universal Precautions and Infection Control policies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct Computerized Tomographic procedures within a maximum time frame of 45 minutes for routine cases.
- Ensure the presence and accuracy of required images in the Picture Archiving and Communication System.
- Interview patients to obtain relevant information and clinical history, providing necessary educational instructions for procedures.
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) efforts through documentation and data collection, addressing patient relations effectively.
- Engage in continuing education to maintain competencies in practices.
- Attend staff and department meetings as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- High School graduate or equivalent, with completion of a formal Radiologic Technology program from an AMA-approved school.
- Ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or certification by the NJ State Board of Examiners.
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Demonstrated competency in Computerized Tomography procedures and thorough understanding of radiation protection and cross-sectional anatomy.
