Registered Nurse - Stepdown/Med Surg - Night Shift

12-hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a Stepdown/Med Surg unit with a focus on providing high-quality patient care. The unit has 20 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 in Stepdown and 1:5-6 on the floor. RNs will be responsible for monitoring patients with various conditions and administering titratable drips as required.

Responsibilities

• Providing care to patients with respiratory issues, weakness, UTIs, AKI, and chest pain.
• Monitoring patients and managing titratable drips such as Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone.
• Working collaboratively with nurse aids and making use of RT equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow.
• Reading telemetry strips as part of patient assessment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Prior experience in Stepdown or related units is a must.
• Possession of a valid driver's license required for submission.
