Schedule

4x10 hours, Days; weekends, holidays, on call/callback per unit needs. Call 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends of call per month.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competence in selecting exposure factors and positioning to consistently produce radiologic images of diagnostic quality. You will work closely with all department members to resolve problems expediently and maintain a compassionate and respectful demeanor with patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral contrast as needed per exam.
• Instruct and prepare patients for radiographic/fluoroscopic examinations and assist Radiologists during procedures.
• Demonstrate competence and proficiency in the operation of all x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems.
• Report equipment malfunctions to management.
• Complete all assigned procedures in a timely manner and use downtime effectively for clerical duties and assistance as needed.
• Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only.
• Provide healthcare services competently across all age groups.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal relationships with patients of all ages.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two (2) years of experience in a Radiology setting.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• Licensing in New York.
• Neurosurgery/Neuroscience experience.
• AART certification required.
• VIR certification is a plus.
