Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with the possibility of floating to different units.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Med Surg / Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a diverse unit with a variety of patient diagnoses, including cancer, hematology, and endocrine disorders. The position requires strong clinical skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients in the oncology, hematology, nephrology, and general medicine units.
• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Assist in the management of intravenous therapies, including chemotherapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
• Utilize EMR system (EPIC) for documentation and patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS/Oncology nursing.
• Current NY RN license with active status.
• Current AHA BLS, NIHSS, and Chemotherapy Certification required.
• Two recent references in MS Charge/Manager capacity.
• Drivers license with address matching demographic information.
• NURSYS Report for license verification.
