Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Schedule

Evening shift, 3 PM to 11:30 PM, varying schedule.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist for a busy laboratory setting. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of two years of experience within the specialty and must possess recent blood bank experience. Familiarity with Sysmex and CellaVision systems is required. Candidates will be expected to accurately perform differentials and handle various complex samples on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform laboratory tests and procedures.
• Manage and troubleshoot complex samples including turbid specimens and platelet clumps.
• Perform blood bank procedures and differentials as needed.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and assurance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting, particularly in blood bank.
• Certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB is required.
• Experience working in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds) is preferred.
• Familiarity with Sysmex and CellaVision systems.
