Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse with pediatric experience to join our team. The Emergency Department consists of 64 beds, including dedicated areas for triage, acute care, trauma, and pediatric patients. The unit is equipped with specialty equipment such as a Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• Assess patients and manage emergency situations including strokes, sepsis, trauma, and other critical conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Float to different areas of the ED as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department, with some pediatric experience.
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required; TNCC must be in hand.
• Must hold an active NY nursing license and NURSYS report for license verification.
• EMR experience required, specifically with EPIC.
• Travel experience is required.
