Job Description

The Cardiothoracic Operating Room Nurse plays a critical role in the care and management of patients undergoing open-heart surgery. The nurse will work alongside a dedicated team to provide quality care in a fast-paced environment focused on patient safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various cardiothoracic procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and ECMO.
• Provide 1:1 patient care during surgical procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekend coverage as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards throughout surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience in Cardiothoracic service line with a focus on open-heart procedures.
• Flexibility to float to other ORs as required.
