Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Nurse with experience in Trauma Level I settings. The ideal candidate will float between the GI unit and Center One Surgery Center, providing high-quality care and ensuring patient safety during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
• Collaborate with surgical and multidisciplinary teams to formulate and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records in the Cerner charting system.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of surgical nursing experience in a Level I Trauma environment.
• Current PA or compact nursing license required at time of submission.
• BSN degree required.
• Current certifications in BLS and either NBSTSA or NCCT.
• Previous charge experience and travel experience required.
