Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Sierra Med/Tele unit is responsible for providing optimal patient care utilizing nursing knowledge and skills throughout the nursing process. This includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, along with their families or caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to patients and their families.
• Coordinate care between different healthcare professionals.
• Meet standards of quality as measured by age-specific competency standards.
• If required, float to other departments as necessary based on competency levels.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NV RN license required prior to start.
• 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythms strips.
