Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced emergency department setting, providing high-quality care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics. The role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capability to work effectively in a multifaceted medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess and triage patients presenting with various medical emergencies.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Document all patient care actions in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically EPIC.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department.
• Experience with pediatric patients is preferred.
• Current unrestricted New York State RN license.
• American Heart Association certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is required.
• Charge or management experience in an ED setting is highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an address that matches demographics.
