7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 x 12 hour shifts, every other weekend required or as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. The role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs while advocating for evidence-based practices and supporting innovations in care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient needs and prioritize care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care based on ongoing assessments.
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage care of patients.
• Document care in accordance with standards of practice and clinical priorities.
• Provide patient-centric care aligned with the professional nursing practice model.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2-3 years of strong Med ICU or ICU experience required.
• Experience with central lines, ventilators, and ICU Cardiac Telemetry is a must.
• Competent to administer blood transfusions.
• Required Education: ASN. Preferred Education: BSN.
• Required Certifications: BLS - AHA, NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license, ACLS, Telemetry-NIHSS-CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours.
