Job Description

We are seeking skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) with a background in Oncology for a dedicated Medical Surgical/Oncology unit. Candidates will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with various medical-surgical diagnoses and a history of oncology, administering chemotherapy, and managing critical patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for medical-surgical patients with oncology histories.
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy and blood products.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to acute care needs.
• Perform nursing assessments and develop appropriate care plans.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and safety protocols.
• Provide education and support to patients and families.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with healthcare professionals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an inpatient medical-surgical setting.
• Oncology certification (OCN) is required.
• Experience in colostomy care, accessing ports, and managing peripheral and central lines.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Must have the ability to administer chemotherapy if needed.
