12 hour shifts; 4 days per week; ALL rotating shift schedules

Job Description

The OB Registered Nurse will provide direct care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team in labor and delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to prioritize and problem solve in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to patient and family-centered care. Employees are oriented and trained to various competencies/mode of care across the OB service and are expected to float among units to meet variable needs of volume and acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to high, moderate, and low-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float among OB/GYN units as necessary to meet patient care demands.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License in New York
• Two (2) years of experience in labor and delivery; OR and triage experience highly desired
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification
