Emergency Department Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position with the possibility of extension.

Schedule or Shift

Must be available all shifts. Mandatory hours are 80 in a two-week period, including AM shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM or PM shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM. The first shift must start at 7 AM on a Monday, with no exceptions.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in the emergency department. The position requires a flexible schedule and the ability to float to Long Term Care or ICU departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patient conditions and determine the necessary interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Mandatory two (2) years of experience in an Emergency Department, with at least thirteen weeks in a similar role. Candidates must possess applicable licenses and certifications required for practice.
