Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Therapy and upon the request of the physician, the Respiratory Care Technician sets up and operates various types of respiratory equipment to be utilized in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disease and/or illness.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate respiratory equipment as directed by the physician.
• Monitor patients using respiratory equipment and assess their needs.
• Provide respiratory therapy according to established protocols and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Graduation from a Respiratory Care Technician program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Care Education, or certification by the National Board of Respiratory Therapy.
• Current RRT license in the state of Montana.
• Knowledge relative to the age of patients serviced.
