Job Description

We are seeking an experienced PCU/IMCU Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have documented experience in a Progressive Care Unit within a similar-sized facility. This position involves caring for a cardiac population in a 28-bed PCU/IMCU setting with an average nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4. Responsibilities will include managing patients with STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, and administering cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors. Nurses may also be assigned to telemetry beds with lower acuity levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU/IMCU setting.
• Monitor and manage patients' vital signs and cardiac indicators.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including cardiac drips.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health issues and post-discharge care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of documented experience in a PCU/IMCU.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with cardiac drips and caring for cardiac patients is preferred.
