Job Description

This position requires a Registered Nurse with experience in an Intensive Care Unit, working in a high acuity Semi-Critical Care Unit (SDU). The nurse will deliver patient care across all stages of growth and development, from pediatric to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments.
• Provide competent and appropriate nursing care based on unit population.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of the nursing process.
• Demonstrate professionalism and knowledge of hospital policies and procedures.
• Respond courteously to patients, families, and co-workers to ensure satisfaction.
• Follow patient safety goals and proper transfer techniques.
• Individualize patient care based on diagnoses, procedures, and anesthesia types.
• Direct patient care by prioritizing needs and responding to changes in conditions.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures and care expectations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year of ICU experience - Required
• RN License - Required
• BLS Certification - Required
• ACLS Certification - Required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred
