Job Description

The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region, including those with respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. Candidates must demonstrate competence in the care of medical and surgical populations, including performing advanced hemodynamics and managing pressor usage per titration protocols. This position requires a focus on infection prevention and effective patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer antihypertensive drips, sedative and Narcan drips, and thrombo-embolytics.
• Manage a line, CVP, EVD, ortho traction, and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Utilize BiPap, CPAP, and oxypendent as necessary.
• Monitor and maintain a patient load of 3 high acuity patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Epic experience is required.
• ACLS certification is mandatory.
• Experience in large-scale adult PCU and community hospital ICU settings is preferred.
